Entries for the
2008 Royal Society Prizes for Science Books, which are among the world's leading non-fiction books prizes, are being accepted. The prizes are made up of two awards for the best popular science books of the last year. The General Prize is open to science books written for a non-specialist audience and the Junior Prize is open to science books for children. The winners of both prizes will receive £10,000 and the authors of the short listed books £1000. Closing date is 14 January 2008
